The Obstacle is the Way

Good Morning!

I was talking to an old friend this week and I was thrilled to find out he’s met someone and might just have found the one! I’ve been waiting a long long time for him to meet the right girl! I was super excited for him, “What a great year to fall in love!” I said. “That’s about all this year was good for!” he said gruffly. I laughed, “What are you talking about? There are SO many things to be thankful for this year!”

I honestly feel there is SO much to be grateful for. It’s been a shake up and for me and my family – in many ways for the better. “Name five!” he said, sure I couldn’t. I rattled off five things, including living in South Dakota, getting to spend time with my family, my beautiful sweet boy, the transitions it brought to my job, our growing business and a few others. He was surprised I’d come back so quickly and then agreed that all those things had indeed been good.

This HAS been a weird year, to say the least, and there is lots to be frustrated and disappointed by – and it’s not over yet! (hahahaha) But as the stoic’s say: things happen, they are neither good nor bad, it is your view and opinion of what happens that makes it so. I’m not sure I completely agree but it’s an idea I think bears some thought – especially during shake up years like 2020! #TheObstacleIsTheWay
