ood Morning!
Our offices are closed today, but I know a fair number of you will still check your email. It’s a hard habit to break – so I’m scheduling this to arrive with lots of Thanksgiving well wishes on our normally scheduled Thursday morning “meeting”.
Last week I was listening to a talk from a guy who was moving cross country. He had a 1964 Ford Galaxy and instead of just shipping it on a truck he decided that it would be take a road trip with his siblings. As you might imagine a long road trip with a 1964 anything is a risky venture and sure enough the car started having all kinds of problems. Pretty soon they were clapping and singing with joy every time the brakes worked, every time they were able to start it, every time it didn’t blow up on the side of the road. Every part of driving the car that went right became a reason to celebrate.
So often we take life for granted. What if we took more time to notice the little things? Having two hands to type this with, being able to breathe and walk and not be in constant pain? Hot water and indoor plumbing? Heat at the touch of a button. Getting to live in such a beautiful place! Life is a wondrous gift! Wishing you a day full of reflection and thankfulness for things large and mundane.
