Lead Mountain Nights! – Saturday, June 23, | Saturday, July 21 | Saturday, August 11 | Friday, September 7 2018
Lead Mountain Nights is a monthly summer music series featuring some of the best local
artists. Locals and visitors enjoy this free, outdoor community festival featuring craft and food vendors, kids activities and bouncy house, and beverage garden.

Gold Camp Jubilee Days – Sunday, July 1 – Wednesday, July 4 2018
Fourth of July celebrations are a big deal, in Lead! Centered around the Manual Brothers Park, right by the Open Cut, activities are scheduled over three days, with all kinds of fun for both children and adults. Vendors dot the landscape of the park, live entertainment keep the summer air full of music, a tri-city parade goes through Deadwood, Central City and Lead, and fireworks over the Open Cut top it all!

Neutrino Day Science Festival – Saturday, July 14 2018
A free annual event sponsored by Sanford Underground Research Facility, Neutrino Day is a science festival taking place at the Sanford Lab Homestake Visitor Center, the Homestake Opera House, and the Research Facility. Since this event includes activities and science related talks for people of all ages, it’s a great opportunity to excite children about science.

605 Black Hills Classic Beer & Music Festival– Saturday, September 8
605 Magazine will be hosting its first ever, live, outdoor event in western South Dakota. The brand that celebrates South Dakota will be working closely with the Lead Area Chamber of Commerce to bring you an all new, backcountry music festival, the 605 Black Hills Classic Beer & Music Festival in Lead, SD.

Festival of Trees Vintage Holiday Celebration –  November 29 & 30 2018
This special holiday event with music and dual Chambers mixer has been a fundraiser for more than 30 years for the Historic Homestake Opera House for operations, programming, and restoration projects. Many community members and businesses get involved by decorating trees and wreaths to win the People’s Choice Awards!

Winterfest 2018 – January 25th – 27th 2018                                                                          Make your ski holiday one to remember by joining the locals for their awesome winter festival. The Lead Area Winterfest, celebrates all things winter on and off the mountain. Winterfest is jam packed with events and activities for all ages; and more fun than you can handle. Community events include: the Black Hills Ski for Light, Northern Hills Recreation Association TRY IT OUT winter sports, pub music festival series, Sled Haus Rail Jam, Dirty Chain’s Winter Fat Classic Bike race, a spectacular fireworks display, toasty community bonfire, the Homestake Opera winter movies series, Ugly Sweater Run, Fire & Flannel party and Beer + Chili Feed featuring the best chili creators duking it out over some fresh crafted brews. Come show your love for snow and celebrate the most epic season with us.
