Winterfest – February 10 & 11, 2017 – Lead’s Winterfest is our snow celebration.
Friday – February 10:
5:00 pm-7:00 pm:  Lead Chamber Mixer with Chili & Dessert Cook-Off at All-In-One Events Center at 501 W. Main Street
All weekend: Medallion Scavenger Hunt with Pieni Kirkko Creative Works Studio & Gift Shop at 170 W. Main Street. Daily clues begin on Feb. 4 on Lead Chamber Facebook page
All weekend: Window Decorating Contest

Saturday – February 11:
8:00 am registration, 9:00 am start for the Snowmobile Poker Fun Run at Steel Wheel Trading Post south of Lead on Hwy. 385
10:00 am -10:45 am: Snow Yoga with Cary Thrall at the Visitor Center observation deck. ($10 advance registration required.)
11:00 am registration, 12:00 pm race for Boys & Girls Club Ugly Sweater Fun Run at Visitor Center parking lot
11:00 am – 3:00 pm: Arctic Golf at the Visitor Center. Hit a golf ball into the Open Cut!
11:00 am – 3:00 pm: Try-It Winter Sports with the Northern Hills Recreation Assoc.  at Manuel Brothers Park. Try out a new winter sport such as fat tire off-road biking, snowshoeing, and Nordic skiing
4:00 pm to 6:00 pm: Live music – Paul Larson’s “Downtown Cowboy Music Party” with beer, wine, or free hot chocolate at the Homestake Opera House Main Street Front Party Room
4:00 pm to 7:00 pm: Live music – Linda Carmon at Hangar 7 Pub at the Blackstone Lodge & Suites in Lead on Hwy. 85
5:00 pm: Live music – Steve Thorpe and Raffle at Lotus Up Espresso & Deli at 95 E. Main Street across from Open Cut
5:00 pm: Community Soup Feed at the Black Hills Rod & Gun Club on Washington Street, next to the tennis courts
6:00 pm: Winterfest Parade starting at Lynn’s DakotaMart and making its way down Main Street
7:00 pm: Grand Finale Party, bonfire, fireworks & live music with The Blue Street Band at the Visitor Center parking lot
8:00 pm: Live music – Trucker Radio, outlaw country at
All-In-One Events Center at 501 W. Main Street
8:00 pm: Karaoke with Colin & Jen at the new Greenfield Pub on Main Street

Lead Chamber Annual Celebration – March 29, 2017
Every year the Chamber host an Annual Celebration to show its appreciation for our members.  A theme is always included, along with fun activities and giveaways.  The Board Members that have finished their term are thanked for their service and the new Board Members, which were voted on by the members, are announced and welcomed in.

Lead Live! – June through September 2017, dates to be determined
Lead is hosting “Lead Live!”, a family friendly series of summer celebrations. Starting June through September expect Live entertainment, food, games for the kids, vendors and much more! It is always amazing fun for the whole family!

Gold Camp Jubilee Days 4th of July Weekend
Fourth of July celebrations are a big deal, in Lead! Centered around the Manual Brothers Park, right by the Open Cut, activities are scheduled over three days, with all kinds of fun for both children and adults. Vendors dot the landscape of the park, live entertainment keep the summer air full of music, a tri-city parade goes through Deadwood, Central City and Lead, and fireworks over the Open Cut top it all!

Neutrino Day Science Festival – Second Saturday in July, 2017
A free annual event sponsored by Sanford Underground Research Facility, Neutrino Day is a science festival taking place at the Sanford Lab Homestake Visitor Center, the Homestake Opera House, and the Research Facility. Since this event includes activities and science related talks for people of all ages, it’s a great opportunity to excite children about science.

Festival of Trees Vintage Holiday Celebration – December 2017
This special holiday event with music and dual Chambers mixer has been a fundraiser for more than 30 years for the Historic Homestake Opera House for operations, programming, and restoration projects. Many community members and businesses get involved by decorating trees and wreaths to win the People’s Choice Awards!
