Add some sparkle to your mid-winter by joining the locals for their annual snow festival. Winterfest celebrates all things winter on and off the mountain. Jam packed with events and activities for all ages it’ll be more fun than you can handle.

The night we celebrate our chamber members’ achievements and recognize outstanding volunteers.

Black Hills Renaissance Festival will take you on a magical tour through time and legend – 16th Century Style with a Fantasy Flair! Enjoy music, Renaissance themed entertainment and games. Discover exquisite items in the village shoppes and marvel at the artisan demonstrations. Feast on food and drink fit for royalty including local mead, ale and wine. Three stages, merchants row and a Games at Revelry Tournament Area for never ending fun.

4th of July and surrounding days

This festival celebrates our iconic golden history of mining, and our amazing community. Join us for the best fireworks show in the Black Hills over the impressive Open Cut with amazing echoes and booms. Enjoy vendors, live entertainment, family-friendly activities, music, food, history and mining talks and events and the small town charm of Historic Main Street!

August

This 9-hole flight golf tournament raises funds for the Lead Area Chamber of Commerce activities and events.

Fall

Celebrate this beautiful time of year in the Black Hills with a vendor fair, fall tour, cornhole tournament and live music.

Shop Small Saturday

Start your holiday gift shopping off by shopping local. Receive a punch on a punch card whenever you spend $10 at local businesses. Enter a full punch card for awesome prizes from local businesses.

In honor of the age-old tradition of driving around simply to look at lights, we encourage residents to decorate their exteriors. Decorations are judged based on brightness, festivity, creativity, neatness, & overall.
