| Hello Everyone,
I know it has been a while since an email has been sent out, but Welcome to 2022. I told my husband the other day that this is the “Year of Change”, and it certainly has been with the Lead Chamber of Commerce! Well, This is Leigha and I am back with the Chamber temporarily as Interim Director. Don’t worry, the Bakery is doing just fine! But I’m a workaholic and I miss working with the LACC Members and Community! I loved my job as the Assistant but I do not regret my choice having left in October. Those four months being gone was what I needed to get my business started and make a change. A change for the better and now I can come back to LACC with a clear perspective, new ideas, and continue the work of making Lead “Miles Beyond Ordinary” (until a new ED is found).
A couple changes will be happening with membership, but a separate letter will be sent via mail and email in the coming week. Please do not hesitate to reach out to me with any questions, comments, or concerns. You can email me at [email protected] or stop into my Bakery on Main Street where I will be working remotely for the time being.

Thursday 2/10
12pm – Preservation Thursday: Lucretia Marchbanks at the Homestake Adams Research and Cultural Center; 12:00 p.m.; free for members and $5 for non-members.
6-8pm – Galentine’s event @ Miners & Merchants Trading Post. Free to attend, free refreshments, and a fun girls night out!
Friday 2/11
5:30pm – Zumba! With Debbie Minter @ Explore Fitness & Adventures. Get that cabin fever sludge off!
6:00pm – Calamity Shindig @ Homestake Adams Research and Cultural Center. There will be live music, heavy hors d’oeuvres, and chubby chipmunk truffles.
Monday 2/14 – Happy Valentine’s Day
Bloomers Flowers & Cakes will have flowers and delivery available. Call to order or check out their website www.bloomersfg.com
12:00-4:00pm – Rustic Nook Bakery will be open special hours selling Chocolate Covered Strawberries – Limited Supply (first come first serve). Call 605-920-9898 to special order.
