In 1926 Homestake Mining Company threw a party to celebrate 50 years of mining called the Golden Jubilee. In memory of that amazing event we now organize the Gold Camp Jubilee. This festival celebrates our iconic golden history of mining, and our amazing community.
Join us for the best fireworks show in the Black Hills over the impressive Open Cut with amazing echoes and booms. Enjoy vendors, live entertainment, family-friendly activities, music, food, history and mining talks and events and the small town charm of Historic Main Street!

10am-2pm: Skateboard Clinic - Sponsored by Northern Hills Rec @ Manuel Brother’s Skate Park
4pm-6pm: Kids Activities - Gnarly Pine Makerspace - tattoos, face painting, crafts, cookie decorating
4pm-8pm: Gold Camp Classic Car Show & Parade - Sponsored by Northland Auto
• 4pm - Parade tour leaves Northland Auto to Central City
• 4:30 - Parade down Lead Main Street/parking for car show in Visitor Center lot.
• 4:30-8pm - Car show voting window
•8:30pm - Car show winners will be announced

10am-noon: Black Hills (shortest) Triathlon Sponsored by Dakota Shivers & Lead Area Chamber (pre-registration encouraged) - SHLVC Parking lot
9:30am: Live Like Cash: Skate, Scoot & Bike Competition - Manuel Brothers Skate Park

FAQ's:
- "Can you watch the fireworks from Main Street?"
- Not exactly, but you can get a great view from Manuel Brother's Park and the parking lot of the Sanford Lab Homestake Visitor Center. If you can see the Open Cut you'll be able to see the fireworks.
- "Will the fireworks be rescheduled in the event of a weather situation?"
- Depends on the weather situation. If rain/storms, then yes, they will be rescheduled for the following day. If due to dry conditions that pose a fire risk, then no, they will be cancelled completely. All updates will be live on the Lead Area Chamber of Commerce Facebook Page.
