Good Morning!
Happy New Year! Hopefully everyone had an exciting and safe Holiday Season and made some New Year’s Resolutions. Resolutions are sometimes very difficult to stick with, so I wish you all the best with those endeavors.
Exciting things will be coming your way soon from the Lead Area Chamber of Commerce and I am excited to be part of all the fun events happening in Lead this year. For at least this month, the focus will be Winterfest. Who is not super stoked about Winterfest? Even my dad, who doesn’t always physically show excitement, got kind of giddy about the Christmas Tree Bonfire. All festivities start Friday January 31st with various businesses having live music. The music will continue into Saturday Feb 1st as a sort of Pub Crawl with each business having music during allotted times throughout the day. There will also be a snowmobile poker run, adult sledding, cool beans cook off, flannel & flame party, fat tire bike race, parade of lights, and fireworks. You DO NOT want to miss the VIP fireworks viewing party from the Visitor’s Center! Then the party continues into Sunday Feb 2nd with a snowshoe hike. Several of these events do have a registration, so check out the website https://www.leadmethere.org/winterfest/ for all the details and schedule of events!
